'Part 1 - An Introduction to Sustainable Procurement in DE&S' in Supporting Documents has recieved an update. The update enhances the presentational aspect of the document to include diagrams and photographs.
As part of the recent development of ASEMS, QSEP has been investigating embedding Sustainable Procurement (SP) principles more effectively within DE&S procurement activities. This has resulted in the introduction of a new SP Toolkit for Delivery Teams together with supporting guidance. The tool kit is intended to provide a proportionate and relevant approach for Delivery Teams to manage SP during the acquisition lifecycle.
An introduction to Environmental Management in the MOD Acquisition Process (Green Book) and An Introduction to Systems Safety Management in the MOD Acquisition Process (White Book) have both been updated for a 2018 release. They are included on the ASEMS website under supporting documentation.
GMP 00 has been released, which consists of all the S&EP leaflets. These are now presented in the same way as on the ASG, and have been removed from all other GMPs. Further information can be found in SEB 21.
A new multiuser email has been set up for SEP Applications:
Please use this email for general ASEMS queries. The comments function on ASEMS is still to be used for comments on specific ASEMS documents as before.
ASEMS is now LIVE.
From the 9th January 2017 previous versions of ASEMS will be deprecated but still available for a short period of time on the Defence Gateway (registration required) within the Acquisition Systems Guidance (ASG) section for Safety & Environmental Protection
Browser Versions: IE8 and earlier are not supported and do NOT work correctly with ASEMS - Please use a more recent version or another browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari or FireFox).
All external links are being redirected into a single document (External Document References) to ensure that links are held centrally and need only be updated once should they change.
The External References Document can always be reached from the 'Useful Links' section in the page footer.
Internal linkages (to other ASEMS documents) remain in place.
Please leave a comment with any links you feel should be included
Please note that: JSP 815 (Defence, health, safety and environmental protection) has been withdrawn and references to JSP815 have been redirected to DSA01.1 Defence policy for health, safety and environmental protection.
JSP 430 MOD Ship Safety Management has been partially replaced by DSA02-DMR – MOD Shipping Regulations for Safety and Environmental Protection. ASEMS may therefore contain references to both JSP430 and DSA02-DMR until JSP430 is completely superceded.
